Thank you for using Life Planning Wheel (“we”, “our”, or “us”).

We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information when you use the Life Planning Wheel app (the “App”).

## 1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the App and which features you enable, we may collect or process the following categories of information:

### a) Information You Provide Directly

This may include information you choose to enter into the App, such as:

- Life area names, icons, and colours
- Scores and ratings for each life area
- Notes you write about individual areas
- Check-in / assessment history
- Preferences and settings (for example wheel style, reminder schedule, starting scores)
- Feedback or support messages you send us (for example by email)

### b) Data Stored on Your Device

Life Planning Wheel is designed as a local-first app. Your scores, notes, categories, and history are stored on your device (including App Group storage used for the optional Home Screen widget).

We do not require an account to use the App, and we do not upload your personal life-balance data to our servers as part of normal App use.

### c) Optional Backup and Sharing You Initiate

If you choose to email or share a backup from Settings, or share a wheel image, the content you select leaves your device only through the tools you choose (for example Apple Mail or the iOS Share Sheet). We do not receive that backup unless you send it to us yourself.

### d) Optional Notifications

If you enable reassessment reminders, the App may use Apple’s local notification system and related device permission tokens as needed to schedule those reminders. Reminder settings are stored on your device.

### e) Technical, Device, and Diagnostic Information

Apple may collect limited technical data related to App Store distribution, crash reporting, or diagnostics according to your device settings and Apple’s policies. We do not operate a separate analytics or advertising network inside the App for personal profiling.

We do not use technical information to personally identify you unless reasonably necessary for support, security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

## 2. How We Use Your Information

We may use information associated with the App to:

- Provide, operate, and maintain the App
- Save and display your life-area ratings, notes, and history on your device
- Power optional features such as reminders, widgets, share images, and backup export
- Improve App features, performance, reliability, and security
- Provide customer support and respond to requests
- Comply with legal obligations
- Enforce our terms, policies, and legitimate business protections

We do not sell your personal data.

## 3. No HealthKit / No Cloud Account (Current Version)

The current version of Life Planning Wheel:

- Does not connect to Apple Health / HealthKit
- Does not require an account
- Does not sync your life-balance data to our cloud as a core feature

If we later introduce optional cloud sync, accounts, HealthKit, or similar integrations, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, request any necessary permissions or consent.

## 4. Third-Party Services and Integrations

The App may rely on Apple platform services required to distribute and run iOS apps, including:

- Apple App Store
- Apple Push Notification / local notification services (if reminders are enabled)
- iOS Share Sheet / Mail (only when you choose to share or email a backup)
- WidgetKit / App Groups for the optional Home Screen widget

We may share information with such providers only to the extent reasonably necessary for them to perform platform services, subject to Apple’s terms and privacy practices.

If we introduce additional material third-party services, we may update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

## 5. Your Data, Your Control

We believe your data belongs to you.

Where available, the App provides tools that allow you to:

- View and edit your scores, notes, and categories
- Export / email yourself a JSON backup of scores, notes, and history
- Reset scores
- Delete all personal data stored by the App on your device

Because data is stored locally, deleting the App (or using Delete all my data in Settings) removes App-stored personal data from that device, subject to device backups you control.

## 6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data.

We may disclose or share limited information in the following circumstances:

- With Apple and other platform providers as needed to operate the App on iOS
- If you choose to email or share a backup or image
- If required by law, legal process, or regulatory request
- To protect our rights, security, systems, users, or the public
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar business transaction (subject to applicable law)

We may also use or disclose aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized information where permitted by law.

## 7. Sensitive Wellness Information

Life-balance ratings, personal notes, and related reflections may be considered sensitive in some contexts.

We designed the App so this information stays on your device by default, and we do not use it for advertising or sell it to third parties.

## 8. Data Retention

Because the App is local-first:

- Retention of scores, notes, and history is primarily controlled by you and your device
- Data remains on your device until you edit it, delete it, clear App data, or remove the App
- If you email yourself a backup, retention of that email or file is controlled by you and your email provider

We retain support emails or correspondence you send us only as reasonably necessary to respond and for legitimate legal, security, or business purposes.

We use reasonable design choices and Apple platform safeguards intended to protect your information on-device.

However, no method of electronic storage, transmission, or internet-connected service is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — especially for backups or images you choose to share off-device.

## 10. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to consent to data processing in their jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information unlawfully, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

## 11. International Users

If you use the App outside the country where our services or providers are located, information you send us (for example support emails) may be processed in other jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws.

Where required, we will take appropriate steps to protect personal data in accordance with applicable law.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable law, including rights to:

- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your personal data

For data stored only on your device, many of these actions can be performed directly in the App (including export/backup and Delete all my data). For other requests, contact us using the email below.

You can delete all personal data stored by Life Planning Wheel at any time directly from within the app.

## How to delete your data

1. Open Life Planning Wheel
2. Go to Settings
3. Scroll to Data & privacy
4. Tap Delete all my data
5. Confirm the deletion when prompted

## What this deletes

Using Delete all my data permanently removes personal data stored by Life Planning Wheel on that iPhone, including (where applicable):

- Life area scores
- Notes
- Check-in / assessment history
- Reminder settings for the App
- Widget snapshot data used by the Home Screen widget
- Related local preferences for your ratings and history

This action cannot be undone.

## What this does not automatically delete

- Backups or emails you previously exported/shared yourself
- Screenshots or shared wheel images saved outside the App
- iCloud / device backups controlled by Apple and your device settings (if your iPhone was backed up while the App data existed)

- Use the Service unlawfully or fraudulently

- Subscriptions may automatically renew
- Renewal may occur unless cancelled before the applicable renewal date
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings

We may change pricing, features, or subscription offerings at any time, subject to applicable law and platform rules.

- The amount you paid us (if any) for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose; or
- £50 GBP

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.
